Mothers' Day

We were missing a lot of the Mom's this year due to responsibilities here and there, but we had about 25 come to the house for a small gathering. It occurred to me at work today, that others think a group of 25 is pretty large, but not us. Arlene was up in Vacaville helping out Matt and Sarah after Sarah's surgery. Colleen was in Ohio at Terri's house celebrating the first communion on niece Meghan. Kathy was in the city celebrating her birthday with friends, and Lala Jo was on an adventure with Sage.

As always everyone contributed to the festivities. Renee and Rick brought pink...yes, pink everything: tableclothes, dishes, napkins, utensils. Ron made a new type of turta...we had a few taste tests between regular and his new recipe. I think everyone likes both. Lala Elsa made frita after Uncle Al cut all of his swiss chard. Judy and Jody both brought salads...both yummy. Poor Juliane always gets stuck with tables, but they are surely appreciated. Thanks to all the guys who set up the tables and figuered out what was wrong with the EZup. But my extra special thanks go to John and Giselle who fixed me blueberry pancakes for breakfast, did all of the shopping, most of the cooking, and helped with the cleaning. Giselle made potstickers (I think she cooked for at least an hour), and potatoes, and made a big hit with her sangria. John barbequed pork loins. And we ended the meal with Bob's ice cream...yum!

Aiden was a little lost being the only mobile kid, but made the most of his day picking up poop with Uncle Al, playing with Andrea, and blowing bubbles with Auntie Renee and Uncle Ron.

We missed everyone who was missing and hope you all had a wonderful day too.
