Peyton will have a new little boy playmate

Tonight I went over to Joe and Jody's for dinner. After a nice dinner, Jody broght over some homemade fortune cookies. Yes, homemade fortune cookies. Inside was the prediction, well, more than a prediction. The sonogram technician was pretty sure that she saw "boy plumbing" in the pictures...even I could see it. Yes, we have another boy coming to the family in January. We are going to have to start re-using names.

Everything is going well; the baby is growing as expected and he has all his "digits" and parts.

Peyton has one tooth through and 3 more on the way. He is a very happy boy. Heather counseled Jody, telling her that "boys are not that hard to get used to". Girls, I have always heard from Moms who have both, that girls are harder to raise than boys. Although, I cannot give you any first hand experience there...I can only tell you that boys are joys, no matter what you have heard.

We went to friends Joe and Jessica's wedding the other day. Everyone looked so nice all dressed up, the hall was nice, the food was great, and the music was fun.

August 2006 on the Perry Front

Well, here we are in August. Peyton is 5 months old and smiling up a storm. Jody is about 17 weeks along and everything seems to be going very well. We will find out soon whether it is a boy or a girl. John is finishing up summer school and getting ready to have his wisnom teeth taken out. We have been putting that off for a while, but now is the time. Kaya is a happy dog especially when her sister Lexi comes over to play. They were together last weekend and they are so cute: Lexi chases Kaya, Kaya runs and runs till she gets tired, when she lies down, Lexi comes over and says, "come on Kaya, let's play", and then lies down next to her and they sleep with their heads together. Brian just turned 28 and Peyton gave him a play chainsaw so they can work together in the yard. I am sure that Heather is starting to get things ready for school to begin again. When I was down there in July, she was excited when Staples had a 1 cent sale on pee chee folders. Joe played in the Firefighter Olympics here in San Jose this year. Little Millbrae Fire took the silver in Division 1 softball. I did finally get a promotion at work, so I formally work in background investigations. My co-worker works from her home in Brentwood so it can sometimes be a challenge doing things over the phone and internet, but she has worked out quite a system. We work well together since we are both pretty detail oriented. I will be taking my sabbatical after Labor Day. At Genentech when you have worked there for 6 years, you are eligible for this time off (in addition to your vacation). So, I will be spending a lot of time in southern California, specifically at "Peyton's Place". So keep watching the blog.
