Peyton comes to visit

On Mothers' Day weekend, Peyton brought his parents up to San Mateo to visit. It was he that everyone really wanted to see. They arrived Saturday night to a very nice dinner at Uncle Joe and Auntie Jody's home. The kids all celebrated Mothers' Day to honor Jody's Mom Judy, Heather and I. It was so nice to have all four of my boys together.
The next morning, we picked up Nono for church. He was surprised to see Peyton, but so happy to meet his first great Grandchild for the first time. Peyton was not too impressed with church. He coerced Daddy to take him outside for a while and then was content to sit in Mommy's lap.
That afternoon everyone came to a barbeque at our home. It was a beautiful, no hot, day. Everyone brought food or drink and with the help of Ron and Rick the meat was luciously barbequed and cut. Peyton was passed around to everyone and soon got a little bit cranky, but we cooled him off with a little bath in a salad bowl in the kitchen sink.
Nono got another peak at Peyton the next day, when we went to his house to visit. Everything was calmer and Peyton had had some rest, so he and Nono smiled together.
