John and Giselle go to Toronto

John and Giselle left on the night of August 9 and flew into New York. Her aunt and uncle picked them up and took them to church and to breakfast. After that, they drove to Toronto where her relatives live. They have been to many places including: CN tower, Roger Centre, Hockey hall of Fame, The Royal Ontario Museum, and the Toronto Center Island. As you can see by the picture, they also went to Niagra Falls. Giselle's Mom's family booked them a night at the The Royal York Hotel; she says she felt like a movie star. And her Dad's family booked them a couple of nights at the Sheraton in Mississauga. They will be back to reality on Monday night.

Lavezzo Fraschieri Annual Family picnic

Saturday, August 9 was a perfect day in San Mateo. The weather was just right, not too hot and not too cold. The wind stayed away until well into the evening. The food was great...but what would you expect with a bunch of Italians bringing homemade food! The site was wonderful, thanks to the hospitality of David, Kathy, Trevor and Madison Lavezzo who opened up the house to about 50 of our relatives. People came from miles around. The Rich Fraschieri family was represented by Rich and Barbara and Lynne and Mike's families. The Ray Fraschieri family was represented by Toni. The Bob Lavezzo family was represented by Del and Barbara, Suzie, and Mike's families. The Al Lavezzo family was represented by Al and Elsa and Juliane and David's families, and the Oliver Lavezzo Family was represented by Pauline, Arlene, Ron and Rick's families. I hope I didn't forget anyone. The younger ones had a blast with all of the day care playing equipment, while the adults reminisced. The thought for next year is to expand the picnic to a weekend at Truckee...watch for updates from Barbara (but I think that the date mentioned was August 7, 8, 9).
