Andrew Arrives

This morning at 11:48, Andrew Oliver Perry was forced to join the outside world. Mom kept trying to convince him that it was just as nice inside as out, but he was having nothing of it. So, he was born by c-section just like the other 3 of my grandchildren. I am staying at Joe and Jody's house with Aiden for a couple of nights and am having trouble downloading pictures on their equipment, and I do not know the password to their wireless, so you will have to wait a few days for the pics. He was shorter (20.5 inches) and weighed a bit less (7 lbs, 6 oz.) than Aiden. His skin tone is lighter than Aiden's, and he does not look as thin. Big brother Aiden (at a whole 21 months) started crying when Daddy showed Andrew to him, because Andrew wanted to eat and suddenly started crying himself. But he slowly warmed up to him and eventually touched his hand with a big smile on his face. Mom is feeling better this time, and it is a good thing. She will have her hands full with her two little boys. More soon...

Sorry, I spelled Haylee's name all wrong. It should be Haylee Jaimes.

Two new Grandnieces

On August 24, Matt and Sarah's baby, Cheyenne Vera was born. Cheyenne was born over a month early after an almost two week stay in the hospital for Sarah. That stay was worth it because Cheyenne's lungs were developed. The only problem was her inability to suck and swallow. She was born at 4 lbs., 11 oz. She quickly learned and went home within 10 days. She is doing remarkably well, gaining weight, pooping and peeing.

Today, Christopher, Becky and Tyler's family increased by one after the birth of Haley Jaymes. Haley was born at 7 lbs., 11 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. Tyler says that they can bring her home, so I guess that is all that counts.
