Bis Nono meets his two new Great Grandsons

My Dad became a great Grandfather on March 10 when Peyton was born in Newport Beach, and again on May 24 when Tyler was born here in Redwood City. He met Peyton when Brian and Heather brought him up here for Mothers' Day in early May. He met Tyler the day after he was born when Grandson Eric picked him up and broght him to the hospital for a little visit. He loves the newest members of his family.

Daddy and Peyton have been bonding

For the last several weeks, Brian has been on paternity leave and has been taking care of Peyton while Heather finishes the last few weeks of school with her first graders. I think it was a good thing for everyone. Of course, Heather was not happy to leave Peyton to go back to work, but who better to watch him than Brian. And she knew that she was close if Brian needed her. Brian seemed to have a pretty easy time, but then Peyton is a very good baby. Only a few times did he have to call Heather with an hysterical, "what do I do, he won't eat?", or "he won't stop crying; I tried everything". They went shopping, hung out in the garage, tried to hunt racoons, and went on runs in the jogger. The toughest part of the whole thing was getting the milk to just the right temperature. He has one more week and then back to work. Then Heather will be off for the summer. I must admit, I am proud of him.

Peyton has a new cousin...Tyler Michael Tigri

On May 24, Becky and Chris Tigri welcomed their new little boy, Tyler Michael. We all knew that he was a boy. We knew that he was due on May 24, but what we didn't know was that he was going to be stubborn and come when he felt like coming despite ptosin and all the coaxing that the doctors and nurses could do to make him want to enter the real world. I think he was just happy and comfy where he was and thought he would just stay there. Another thing that we did not know was that he was going to be 8 lbs, 8 oz. and 22 inches long. The doctor suspected he would be big. He has a good chance of passing up Daddy; he has some big feet. And he looks like his Daddy, Nono and bis Nono. They all have the same mouth. He is a little doll.
