Easter in southern California

Because we we down in southern California for Peyton's birthday, we had a little Easter egg hunt for Peyton and Aiden on Easter morning. Neither one of the boys knew what they were supposed to do, but Peyton caught on really quick. All Brian had to do was show him one egg and tell him to go find more after Heather handed him a basket. Aiden, who is just walking, walked around with Daddy, but he was just happy with one egg. Daddy kept "egging" him on to find more, so he did find more. He was fascinated with the eggs, how they came apart and how he might put them back together. He did like the fact that there were goldfish inside too.

Peyton's second

The day before Easter was the planned birthday party for Peyton. He wanted a CARS theme and that is what he got. Peyton was on overload with the numbers of adults, numbers of kids, and numbers of gifts ... all there for him. He didn't know what to do first. He liked the lunch that Mommy and Daddy made for him and his guests, he loved the gifts, but didn't know what he could play with because there was always something else he had to open, he really liked the birthday cupcake though. He blew out the candle as everyone was singing and then proceeded to eat the whole thing...mmmmm! But after everyone left he got a chance to look at all of his loot again. It was like a toy store in his living room...what else could a 2 year old ask for?

...been a while

Sorry that it has been a long time since I posted. I will try to catch you up. In January we celebrated Aiden's first birthday. His parents threw him a wonderful kid party complete with jump house, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and lots of guests. He had a great time with all of the kids in the bounce house, eating his lunch and picking at his birthday cupcake...yes, picking at it. He is not a big sweet eater and Joe says he taught him to be polite...so he barely touched it. As his guests were beginning to leave, Aiden took a little nap. Meanwhile, all the adults still at the house used the last hour of the bounce house. When he got up, he was able to play with all of his new toys.
