Easter Marathon

Easter Mass had to be at 7:30 because of all of the activities we had planned. After that, I went to Joe and Jody's home. John and Giselle had spent the night there after the "cousins event" that happened the night before. I am sure that the get together involved playing bingo and sipping tea but everyone seemed pretty tired by the time I saw them.
We had a lovely breakfast cooked by our hosts and their moms, and an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. After the hunt, everyone had a great time playing with the kids' new toys. As always, the Easter Bunny was very generous.

Then it was off to brother Ron's home where the rest of the family had had a delicious brunch. We were divided into two teams each containing "old" people who called the house home in the 50's and others who call the house home now. The clues were written so that no one would know all of the answers (except maybe Ron) so you would have to rely on all teammates. After you conferred with your teammates to figure out where the egg was, you would retrieve it and bring it to the obstacle course, put the egg on a spoon, put the spoon in your mouth and then navigate the course. If you dropped the egg, it was back to the beginning of the course for you. When Joe. Jody, Aiden and Andrew arrived, there was a special hunt set up for Aiden who enjoyed his special event. He soon figured out that he had to find upside down plastic plant pots to look under.

After that, we were off again for a huge dinner at Giselle's parents' house. When you go to the Collantes' house, there is never a shortage of food. drink, or good company.

It was a very full day, and yes, I have pictures, but with this new computer I am having trouble accessing them. I will post as soon as I figure it out.
