John graduates from the Academy at CSM

Surrounded by family, fellow students and the upper echelon of the San Mateo County firefighting world, John received his Firefighter 1 certificate in the theater at the College of San Mateo. He was one of the students who was allowed to stand up and introduce members of his family in the fire service who were there to support him. A big thanks to Chief Uncle Ron and big Bro Joe who spent the evening with us. Besides Giselle and I cousin Gino came by with his congratulations. Hopefully he will be on that stage in a very short time.

Since then, John has gotten a cadetteship at Menlo Park Fire and is taking lots of tests. Then there is always the boring job at GAP to fill up the rest of his time.
