Turkey Day 2006

So, the holiday season is officially begun. Thanksgiving weekend is behind us, but lots more celebrating will happen before it is over. Joe and Jody ventured down to southern California, since she is more than 7 months along and will not be able to travel for Christmas. Brian and Heather came up here to spend the holiday with us. It was fun having them here and being able to spend time with them. Peyton is a joy with his endless smiles, Brian got some things done to help around the house, and with Heather here it is fun to have another female in the house to talk to. We spent Thanksgiving Day at Auntie Kathy's house which she made very homey and cheery even though we invaded her home with over 20 people including 2 babies with all of their extra furniture. We had a wonderful dinner of traditional faire. Then after dinner, a special surprise. Santa Claus showed up and Tyler and Peyton sat on his lap for the first time. Both thought he was great and just picked at his beard. Then the other boys: Brian, John, Chris, Eric, and Donny decided to join in and tell Santa what they want for Christmas. I hope that your Thanksgiving weekend was a good one also.
Joe and Jody came home on Friday, so we were able to spend some time with them later in the weekend. On Saturday, John, Brian, Peyton, Giselle (John's girlfriend) and I went to Millbrae Fire to show Peyton the firetrucks, or to show off Peyton to Joe's co-workers. We all had fun putting Peyton on the apparatus.
Jody's last shower was that evening. Yes, it was a busy weekend. Renee, Arlene, Kathy, Becky and Heather put together a lovely dinner and Jody got more goodies for the newest Perry who will make his appearance in January...or so.
