October and November at the Perry's

After the baptism and six wonderful weeks with Peyton, I returned home and to work. Everyone said they missed me and made me feel good, and then back to business. John did well while I was gone. The lawn was well taken care of, the plants were still alive and the house was in order (although not dusted...achooo). Work has been very busy with background investigations, but also with a lot of planning for next year in the disaster preparedness arena, and trying to get as many of my team members trained before the end of the year as possible.

Peyton is doing very well. He is still waiting for those top teeth to pop through. You have been able to see them since before he was 6 months old, but they are stubborn little boogers. Brian, you have only yourself to blame for that. Yours were just the same. He had a very fun first Halloween. He went to the pumpkin patch with cousin Taylor and had a really fun time.
For the day itself, he put on his cow outfit, and Dad took him to Mom's school to be in the parade. After Mommy paraded around with the first grade teachers as a patient among doctors and nurses, Peyton got to parade with her. That evening they went to some friends to have dinner and go trick or treating with Taylor and Cameron. He thought it was SO fun!

And then there is "Aiden in utero". He is doing very well also. Monday of this week I met Joe and Jody, and John and Judy at the 3D ultrasound office and actually saw him holding his toes and sucking his fingers and toes. He was a little uncooperative in that he wanted to sleep and he wanted to suck anything and everything he could find. The ultrasonographer was having trouble getting a clear shot of his face. We did get one, but since the DVD did not come out, they were told that they could go back and try again. Yesterday, he was very awake and they got many good shots. They could tell that he has a lot of hair, and he is very cute...but what would you expect?
